STORING YOUR BREAD

Bread Shelf Life - 7 to 10 Days

Bagging: Allow your bread to cool before bagging. If you bag your bread in plastic while it's still hot, condensation will form inside your bag causing your hot fresh loaf to turn cold, soggy and just plain yucky. It's best to bag it when it is  "cool to the touch". (If there is any left to bag at all.)

Freezing: We recommend that you don't store your bread in the refrigerator as this will cause your bread to dry out and get stale quicker. Yet Grain Bin Bread freezes wonderfully. After cooling, simply enclose your loaf in 2 plastic bags (just ask us for an extra one) and pop it in the freezer. Thaw thoroughly in the plastic bags. To reheat, moisten the crust favorably with wet hands and heat in a 350 degree preheated oven for 6 - 8 minutes. The dewey-crust-in-the-oven ploy is great for fresh bread too. It heightens an already golden crust to an unbelievable domain and gets the heart of the bread into a hot steamy spirit for butter, honey or cheese.
